The majority of the dentistry that is done in our clinic would fall under the category of General Dentistry. Part of our work could best be described as preventative. Preventative care improves and maintains overall the oral health and prevents symptoms from developing. Interceptive dentistry is necessary when symptoms occur and need to be addressed.

1. Oral Hygiene

Regular visits and check-ups with Dr. Mando Mavrou will ensure that the work you do at home on preventative oral care will be all the most successful. We offer oral care instructions, regular monitoring and preventative measures such as fluoride applications (if necessary).

Appropriate treatment and follow up care will fall into the one of the following groupings: 3, 6 or 9 months’ interval. This allows us to keep a close watch on your progress.

2. Endodontics

When a tooth is severely damaged due to decay or trauma, the last possibility of saving the toot structure is the root canal treatment (endodontic therapy). It is a sequence of treatments for the infected pulp (nerve) of a tooth, which results in the elimination of the infection and the protection of the decontaminated tooth form future microbial infection.

At our clinic we can help with the most routine endodontic cases. For more complex treatments we collaborate with a specialist, an endodologist.

3. White Fillings

In our days amalgam and gold fillings (although not completely gone from dentistry) have become less common. Today, with the advances in dental restoration materials we can use composite resins that can match the natural tooth surface tones without compromising the durability and longevity of the restoration. The white fillings are impossible to detect, yet they do their job as well as their metallic counterparts.
